Mr Mark is an MOE-trained educator with over a decade of experience in the classroom. As subject coordinator across multiple levels and streams, he has internalised and developed outstanding pedagogical strategies, which are personalised according to student profiles. An award winning and inspirational teacher, Mr Mark has received multiple Outstanding Contribution Awards, Caring Teacher awards and many more from MOE. These are testament to his personal philosophy of excellence and his passion in striving to nurture every student to his or her utmost potential.

A firm believer that every child has the potential to succeed, Mark is an advocate of the growth mindset. His instructional strategies are guided by this mindset, and aims to provide the right support for his students and opportunities to challenge themselves to succeed. His lessons are thus always designed to be highly impactful and effective, including the regular and timely feedback his students receive in order for them to grow more every lesson.

Through regular interleaving of language skills, Mark’s students observe how certain techniques in one aspect of language can be applicable in another. These opportunities to reflect on their learning experiences contribute to a deeper understanding of how language shapes thoughts and behaviour.
