Ms Ze Qin’s educational philosophy transcends the conventional focus on grades, aiming instead to instil a lifelong awareness, joy, and curiosity about the world. She believes that by critically engaging the students to the world around us, she is able to deeply enrich students’ educational journeys while also preparing them to thrive in diverse environments. Her lessons thus integrate critical perspectives of the world that has shaped her through her breadth of educational and lived experiences.

Beyond the classroom, Ms Ze Qin’s love for travel and cultural exploration has significantly shaped her teaching and personal growth. Having backpacked to various countries, She gained invaluable insights into different cultures and perspectives, enriching her understanding and empathy—qualities she brings back to students in the classroom to become better writers and thinkers. This exposure has been instrumental in developing her lesson approaches to inculcate understanding and openness. 

In her free time, Ms Ze Qin can be found pursuing her passion for dance, which has since spanned over thirteen years. She finds joy in the dynamic energy, diversity in forms of expression and in the discipline required, which complements what one can expect in her classroom – fun, open dialogues and growth!
